It is truly a great time to buy and sell in the Vail valley. We have had incredible snowfall and the ski season is off to a great start. Here is some recent information brought to you by our friends at Land Title Company. If you have any questions or want to know what’s happening in the Vail valley, please feel free to contact me.
Recent real estate sales produced the best month of the year in Eagle County with $229M in total dollar volume over 235 transactions. It’s the first time this year that the county has gone over 200 transactions in a given month. Nearly 1/3 of all transactions occurred in Eagle and Gypsum, with 40 and 34 transactions respectively. This activity was followed by Avon and Eagle Vail with 14 transactions; then Cordillera, Arrowhead and Beaver Creek which all had 12 sales. There were 3 residential sales over $5M that produced a combined $21.9M in dollar volume. These included two sales for $8.2M; a home in Vail Village and a unit at The Chateau in Beaver Creek. The majority of all Eagle County home buyers continue to be locals (55%), while 27% are out of state buyers and 17% are from the Front Range. These percentages are typically very consistent year over year. New homes sales accounted for 14 sales and nearly $15.5M in total dollar volume.
