Eagle County real estate remains steady
Eagle County real estate dollar volume continued to remain steady through the 3rd quarter. The total dollar volume through September was just shy of $2.8B, just 4% lower than year-to-date 2021. While volume remains strong, the number of transactions are down 25%. This creates a historically high average sales price of more than $1.8M per sale. While these overall numbers are lower than last year, the total dollar volume is more than $1B higher than in 2019 and the number of transactions are up 7%.
Highest priced sales in the vail valley
The highest sale in September was a Mountain Star home selling for $10.5M while the Altus in Vail Village had the highest price per square foot in September at $3,221. The Altus sale was 1 of 14 new construction sales in September. You can see the entire list of transactions on page 19 of the attached September report. Eagle and Gypsum are remaining steady with the number of transactions; accounting for more than 30% of all sales, while Avon is the only other area with 10 or more transactions in September.
