Eagle County real estate reached $3B in total dollar volume for the third time ever and for the third straight year. October had $277M in sales, which was 45% lower than last October, bringing the year-to-date total to $3,074,254,724. This is 10% lower than the record setting year in 2021 when the year-end total dollar volume reached more than $4B. |

October saw the same number of real estate sales surpassing $5M as there were sales under $500,000: eight. This brings the year-to-date total to 83 and 89, respectively. Vail had the highest sale in October at $15.85M at the Chalets at The Lodge at Vail, which equates to $3,373 per square foot. |

There were 146 real estate transactions in October, bringing the year’s total to 1,711. This is 27% lower than year-to-date 2021. The result is an average sales price of $1.8M and a median price of $975,000. While the year-to-date numbers are less than 2021, the average and median prices are at all-time highs.
